Set of 8 19th Century English Oak Dining Chairs with Barley Twists
A set this unique can only come from the 19th century Victorian era. This piece belonged to a private collection we recently acquired that included a couples’ life long collection of fine Victorian furniture, most of which were collected during trips abroad and shipped overseas to their North Carolina Estate.
Extremely intricate, every element was considered when designing and creating this set of chairs. Barley twists are featured on the legs and flanking each side of the heavily carved backs with botanical and swirling motifs. They are upholstered in a light French vanilla fabric with dainty pink flowers and greenery, which contrasts very nicely against the dark oak frames. These English made chairs are the perfect antique addition to your dining space, just in time for the holidays!
