When I am personally shopping for furniture Councill Craftsman is one of the brands that I am shopping for. The reason is simple: They cut no corners in the manufacturing process. Their pieces are top of the line and they hold their value very well after purchase. Fred and Hope Coun­cill found­ed Coun­cill Crafts­men in Den­ton, North Car­oli­na in 1973. They believed that the inher­ent beau­ty of fine fur­ni­ture lives forever. Coun­cill has main­tained a ded­i­ca­tion to the art and craft of fine Amer­i­can fur­ni­ture mak­ing and estab­lished a rep­u­ta­tion for excellence.

Councill Craftsman selected beautiful mahogany wood for this piece with swirling grain patterns and an abundance of chatoyancy. Chatoyancy refers to the way the light reflects on the grain creating a 3D optical illusion similar to gemstones like tigers eye. This effect makes this sideboard appear as though it shines in the light. Shiny brass hardware, cabriole legs, three drawers (including one silver drawer) complete this piece.
