19th Century Music Cabinet
Another semi-rare piece that we are featuring today is this Victorian sheet music cabinet. Heavily carved with a string instrument over sheet music over a horn carved into the door with four toothed serpents? in each corner. The sides and each displayed post are covered in rope edging or other elaborate display. The door has a fully functional lock and key.
There are two open shelves below, one open shelf on top and four shelves inside. The top finial appears to have to types of fish carved into it meeting to blow into a horn to make make beautiful music.
This is an extremely unique piece; something you are not going to find every day. It could be used for it’s original purpose of holding sheet music, it could hold albums, or even as a filing cabinet.
