This 19th Century mahogany Empire butler’s chest features a fall-front writing surface that opens to reveal a fitted birds-eye maple interior with numerous drawers and pigeonholes. The exterior showcases richly carved acanthus and pineapple motifs on the column supports, complemented by brass lion’s head pulls. Combining bold Empire design with refined interior detailing, it highlights both practicality and fine craftsmanship of the period.
