Turn of the Century Continental Blind Door Cabinet
From an era that has come and gone and may never return again, we present this incredible aesthetic movement blind door cabinet.
The aesthetic movement was an art movement, both practical and theoretical, of the late 19th century which emphasized the aesthetic value and effect of pieces. Ebonized woods were featured with a far eastern influence as used in the fretwork of this piece. Also popular were gilt highlights that can be seen in the ladies relief carved in the doors, the stars, and the four handles in the four drawers in the base. This is truly a one of a kind piece that you will not find anywhere else.
