Ornate Turn of the Century Imperial Tower Clock
European in nature while utilizing middle eastern Moorish fretwork techniques; this clock is over 100 years old and serves as a great example of the use of fretwork. The maker of this piece likely spent months carving the fretwork into fences, faces, branches, and more to fit their design perfectly. Contrast was employed with the use of gold paint against the dark brown wood. The two shorter towers flank the side of the largest tower, pulling your attention to the center of the piece where the clock is located.
