Antique French Clock w. Bronze Statue Signed CH Lévy
Charles Octave Lévy was a French 19th Century sculptor who was born in 1820 and died in 1899. This piece is signed CH. Lévy’s making this piece approximately 120 to 135 years old.
Standing atop a green marble base is a woman in contrapposto with her right arm extended above her and her left as her side. The woman’s form is draped in a sheet that flows behind her. The marble base has a clock in it’s center and is elevated by bronze scrolled feet. Below the clock is the face of a woman framed by bronze ornamental details.
